Feeding Therapy

Improving Mealtime Relationships Developmental Readiness (transitioning to solids) Bottle/Breast Feeding (latch issues, nipple transition, etc) Sensory Motor Skills Oral Sensory Processing Safe & Efficient Feeding and Swallowing

Feeding therapy is designed to improving a child’s feeding skills. A speech language pathologist or occupational therapist who has training in feeding and swallowing disorders works with children and their family to determine the underlying cause of feeding difficulties. This may include improving skills related to sucking, eating from a spoon, trying new food groups or food textures, chewing, and drinking from a cup.
