Speech language pathology involves language, speech production, social communication, cognitive communication and swallowing skills in children and adults. In infancy, babies start to communicate with their caregivers through eye gaze, social smiles and eventually gestures and vocalizations. As they get older, children use communication to navigate their world as they follow a routine at home, answer teachers’ questions and ask friends if they want to play. At Bright Spark Therapy, our Speech Language Pathologists find fun and meaningful ways to address communication and learning.
